The Great TP Debate

A great and sometimes violent debate has errupted at work and is threatening to tear my office apart. Seeing that we are hopelessly dead locked on this issue, I thought maybe we'd let the gentlemen, scholars, and trolls of LiveLeak settle this dispute once and for all.



So here's the question:



Should toilet paper be hung as to have the roll come over the top or from the bottom?





Also, it's been brought to my attention that some of you nasty bastards don't wipe your ass. First, WHAT....the...F**K?? How is it that your asshole doesn't cement itself shut? And doesn't a crack full of razor-sharp dingleberrys give you that "not-so-fresh" feeling?

And for the folks out there who use their hand (and only a bare hand) to wipe your ass,.....well I don't even know what to say about that shit.

Finally, for the hippie bastards that are too lazy to hang the roll and just leave it on the back of the toilet or on the floor.....you're what wrong with America. Pick a side.



I also realize that LiveLeak reaches a world-wide audience and that some of you may not even know waht toilet paper is. Your are exempt from the poll and should insted enjoy this picture of a hippo:

  • First things first, the term 'toilet paper' is out dated. I use the term 'shit tickets'

    It goes under the bottom like a terrorist and heres why. I kave kids and cats. (little terrorists in training) Its too easy to make a mess for them by spinning it around and around. This way it spins but doesn't unravel. Now if the child is intent on making a mess theres nothing to stop them but myself intervening. The cats are too dumb to figure it out.
    No kids or cats: Over the top of course.

      I always install it under, but not for those reasons. I had a cat that got bored one night and figured it would be great fun for her to unroll about 15 feet of TP, and then somehow roll it back up. She did a fairly neat job rolling it back up, but as you pulled the paper out to use it, each square was peppered with claw holes. True story

  • Over the top , no question.
    I was raised as a mechanic , and no matter how much you wash your hands that oily grease still remains on your hands , by putting the roll against the wall , grease transfers from your hands and gets on the wall.
    Hanging the roll over the top allows one to get their hand behind the paper without touching the wall.
    Go into some garage bathrooms , they can be covered in oil and grease.

  • The US government actually spent somewhere in the neighborhood of 200k bucks on a study that concluded over the top conserves slightly more TP.
    So if you are a pro government ass kisser... over the top.

  • Under enables easier tearing and less chance of rolling out more than you need.

  • There's something sneaky and nefarious about unrolling t.p. from the back and underneath. Makes me feel subservient, or like I'm begging. It's the communist wolf in 2-ply clothing.
    Unrolling it from the top makes me feel... on top of things. Alert. Master of my domain and in control.
