  • Yes the worlds climate has changed dramatically many times in it's 4.6 billion year history. The very development of life was one reason. Another prime reason was collisions with other bodies in space. IE large asteroids. This current climate change is occurring at a time when their has been no cataclysmic events... no large and reoccurring volcanic activity or collisions.

  • It's stupidity that got us here in the first place, you wanna play dumb?
You think fossil fuel isn't having any effect on the ecosystem?
You think methane is not making a contribution to the already problematic rise in heat trapping gasses and floating garbage?
I suppose you're all for military jets flying around and burning more fuel in one hour than a car can burn in a year.

You know that idea about picking your battles...this isn't one of em.

  • Methane is 20 times more insulative than CO2. Farting from livestock is a major problem....along with rice fields, landfill, abandoned mines, and pivotally perma-frost. Perma-frost is a ticking time bomb, once its defrosted you have billions of tonnes of mehtane to be released.

Climate change isn't such a bigger deal to be people who appose it, the underlying issue fueling any oposition to global warming is sustainability- more importantly the lack of it. Earth is a very large space ship and More..

The crusade led by Gore and his cronies is all about furthering their own careers and political agendas. Whats to gain? Power, controlling your 'carbon footprint', means controlling you, absolutely.

Their fundamental assumption is that Earth's climate was stable and was doing just fine before the Industrial Revolution started interfering with climate's "natural" state.

But it is plain to see that both warming and cooling occurred numerous times before the Industrial Revolution. Similarly, More..
You facts are not stated accurately. The climate has had many huge changes. They are mostly due to cataclysmic events...IE meteor strikes and large, sustained volcanic eruptions. We have not had any of these in human recorded history.
Anytime you add material to a somewhat stable system changes will occur. That is what we are doing by burning fossil fuels, and by having so much cattle.
Which side has more to gain, the people who urge wise use and penalties for polluting, or those that want to sell and profit from burning more fuel?

  • Yukkione, I can see your lack of command of the English language isn't helping get your opinion across very well. But what you are saying just simply is not true, and burying your head in the sand is not an option in this case.

"Those that want to sell and profit from burning more
    fuel?"

So you are suggesting that burning fuel is bad, it's basis of human life as YOU know it.

Again you have missed the point, I am not suggesting that pollution is not bad, it's all about the C02. Do s More..

  • So your argument (positron) is what? We should just keep doing what we're doing? Why don't we just clean up the environment for health reasons (including emissions)? Why not curb greenhouse emissions just to be on the safe side? It seems one side is for maintaining the status quo (maybe causing a global catastrophe), while Gore and company want to stop polluting the planet (not causing a global catastrophe).

  • Oh, so you think the global warming threat is a means for social control (I read your post). I think it would hit the oil, automobile, farming (methane) industries the hardest. Sure, stopping emissions would hit us all a little, but if it ensures the survival of the species, I'm all for it.

but solar powered or not it a takes carbon and energy to get the raw materials, to ship the raw materials, to process the raw maerials, to manufacture the many componets, to assemble those componets into a product, and to ship the product. It takes carbon and energy to produces bikes. It takes carbon and en More..

  • 'cum bubble', that was cool.
As for gore flying around in a jet, at least it is the most economical jet that is on the market for the dollar that is spent on it...as a matter a fact the majority of the U.S. gov.t fly around in the same thing. whether it is taking repuke to a campain fund raiser or to interogate some sandnigga. they all fly Gulfstream aircraft unless you are some 'cum bubble' that takes the larger aircraft!!!
