Nice video. One question though Mr. Lake. By your description it sounds like Australian students are all taught CPR in school and the Chinese aren't. Is that what you're saying? Because if it is I think it's great that CPR is taught in any school as a mandatory lesson. 'Cause it's not just the Chinese that aren't taught CPR in school. And I think all schools should make it mandatory as part of a health class or gym class. Yet alas it's not.
Well it's lucky someone knew it and learned it somewhe More..

Today in China parents only care about their kids going to college. I learned CPR in mandatory military training in school during Mao's era.

Schools in China focus too much on academics. Parents will complain if you teach kids things unrelated to their college entrance exams.

@Lake8737 Wow, I do understand, but it is such a simple class. One day to give compassion or saving the life of a fellow human being or family member. Wow, I do understand pushing the academics, but this is live saving. That's too bad they can't fit an 8 hour class into their curriculum.

The government should be forced by the people to implement first aid/cpr into things like, a prerequisite for obtaining learner driving license or into school curriculum. In China drowning is the leading cause of death for children aged 1-14, tragic numbers, they could turn this around quickly with education.
