IBD (that's Investor's Business Daily, for you Times readers) ran a great editorial today about the cost of education in DC and it's impact. Amazingly, the numbers aren't that far off from the school district I'm forced to pay for here on Long Island, and our kids' parochial school is similarly run much more efficiently. I guess you could call that a pattern.
