You probably just saw a man lose his license for life and the start of financial and law enforcement woes for a long, long time. They should have just let the man go (he wasn't impaired) and save everyone the hassle. Guy will probably not be able to pay his fines or make it to his classes imposed for the DUI resulting in a lifelong vicious cycle of arrest warrant(s), penalties upon fines with interest, loss of license...
Good job pigs. I'm betting if this man was of money or power the swine wo More..

@The Black Orchestra They do not give many rides home that I am aware of. You are correct that the financial aspect of all traffic offenses has a disparate impact on the poor. $931 fines and cost, $50 cost of investigation, $50 cost of prosecution, $260 class, $65 class with MADD, $45 a month to probation, $15 per urinalysis, $150ish to get his license reinstated, High risk FR 44 insurance (bodily injury liability $100,000 per person, $300,000 per occurrence and $50,000 property damage), Statuto More..

I would fail most of those balancing tests as I have a minor issue with balance.

@GERMANY_PREVAILS They do both and sometimes a blood test if the suspect doesn't want a breath test.

@hatemosquito test is designed to fail. knew a guy that used to teach an alcohol recovery class. he used to give all of the people a field sobriety test at the beginning of class. in 10 years he had 4 people actually pass and they were all sober at the time

That cop is just milking time to kill off the rest of shift, what an asshole and waste of tax payers money. That dude didn't need to be arrested, a small fine and a 24 hour license suspension would have fit the crime, he wasn't "drunk".

@Likejuice They used to do that but the discretion has been legislatively removed by mandatory minimums.

Wow, here it's blow in the machine (you don't even get out the car) and see ya. Over in 30 seconds as long as you've been a good boy.
I'll add, he looks like he probably has a little bit of a stimulant counteracting the booze.
