    • @grraur You must be talking about the guy who is about to break Kittinger's record? He's Austrian?...

It's kindof lame IMO. I know Kittinger is working with them on the project, but, damn. Things have just changed. They scrapped the attempt because it was a little windy...

The video of the guy's jump is going to be amazing, but, the jumps don't really compare. Kittinger in old gear, against the odds and pushing forward despite serious malfunctions and complications. Versus this guy in a high-t More..

  • 1959 to 1960. Imagine what tests the military industrial machine is doing now.
They are probably at least 20 to 30 years ahead of main stream technology as we speak. BTW, you ever notice how when any new technology comes out, the corporations all come out with it at the same time.

  • Watch your step! Did they make extra room in his suit for his big ass balls?

  • Pretty amazing. This guy was legit, a real classic test-pilot type bad-ass. His record is about to be broken, but, I wouldn't really compare the two jumpers. When Kittinger did it, it was dangerous. On the way up, his hand went numb and he realized his pressure suit had failed, but he didn't say anything because he knew the doctors would scrap the mission. So he did everything from that point on one-handed (his other hand was swollen and numb), with a good chance that the suit would just fail co More..

  • Wasn't he seriously injured on one of these jumps? They seem to have left that out.
