Recently Glenn Beck had Ben Stein on, as well as Jon Huntsman of the Huntsman Cancer Institute, a person who donates 100% of his salary to the institute, as well as having paid for the center being built itself. The discussion centered around Obama's new idea to cut the deduction limits for charitable donations, and what that will do to needy non-profits and other good-deed foundations. This, folks, is a common sense thing - in fact, it makes NO common sense. Why would you discourage charitable giving in an economic time like we're having? Oh, yeah... that would be if you want the government to control ALL charitable "giving" so that they have control over all the money. The government, after all, does know how better to spend your money anyway, right?
Right?...Right?? Do I hear crickets?
