  • The Legionnaires are mostly French. French officers, French everywhere. It's more like a regular military formation of France that allows foreigners to join.

  • All officers in the legion is french btw.

  • Quick way to lose your citizenship, fighting for a foreign army.

  • About 40% of legionnaires are French citizens. It's shock troops like USMC, just a few of them are SF.

There's other units that are SF.

  • The french have always been good at finding others to fight for them.

    • @Eluf-ant

Yeah, like during the American Revolutionary War, the little cowards went to find someone else to give them a hand because they would have been hopeless fighting by themselves.

    • @Valerie2007 - Yeah, it wasn't to stick it the eye of their enemy at the time England or anything. Just out of the kindness of king Louie's heart. I'd say they found a bunch of rebels in the new world to fight the British in their own back yard.

    • @Eluf-ant

The point was that the French have not been the only ones good at finding others to fight for them... As in any conflict, there are always vetted interests. Or do you think that we went to Iraq (and the French also went to Afghanistan and are still there) out of the kindness of Mr. Bush's heart?

      Posted Jun-22-2012 By

    • @Valerie2007 - They have the same interest we do in the middle east. My point is you can count on the french not to be counted on. When the going gets tough, they whip out the white flags and say fuck it.

    • @Eluf-ant

And when was the last time that this happened, according to you? Let see how much you know about it...

BTW, James-T-Kirk just posted a list of conflicts in which they were involved. That may help you pick an example, it should be straightforward.

  • Best place to go if you are on the run as they give you a new identity, but you have to learn to speak french, now who the fuck wants to do that, oh and they have shit rates of pay and make you eat garlic and dog turds so you blend in with the rest of the nation

  • those takedown moves mean nothing. with how wars are fought today, you might need those physical takedowns maybe once out of every 5,000,000 firefights.

    • @Frenchy1789 They have the same training then the rest of the French Army, the only difference it's the discipline.

  • French people need to pay someone else to do manly jobs because they can't handle it, oh yeah, and I am a kick-box fighter, I can tell that in their faces.

France do have an army you know?
This is just a wing of the army that lets foreigners join. For the most part they are commanded by French officers and 24% of the recruits are French.

How many Hispanic people enrolled in US Army, and have been in Irak to die, in hopes to get the US Nationality ????!!!! Maybe in France we pay them, but you it's worst to first give the expectation to this Hispanic that they will become, perhaps one day, American.

    • @stalkerdayandnight No you can't, unless you speak French?

    • @Adri PHILIP Agreed. Whereas the US pretend to win hearts and minds, the French actually achieve it.
