Brazilian author Paolo Coelho happend to recognize one person in the Neda videos - Arash Hejazi, a doctor, seen kneeling on the right of her, wearing the white shirt. In his blog Coelho publishes a number of carefully phrased emails he exchanged with his friend to confirm that it's really him, about his whereabouts and his security.

Also posted is a video of an interview that Hejazi gave to BBC. According to Hejazi Neda was not shot from a rooftop, but by a Basij on motorcycle, who afterwards has been disarmed and identified, but not detained by other protesters.
