The US helping rebels in syria
Part of channel(s): Syria (current event)

syrian conflict continiues and many loose their lifes in order for some to gain ground in syria and some to be ousted...

If this were to happen, it would be possible that in 20 yrs time, the ppl ousted today will gang up with the US against the guys who take over, and its the same story all over again. This type of divide and conquer, using religiouse sects and ethinic background needs to stop. as a famouse man once said: "there is only ONE truth about war: ppl die". People, civilized people, need to stop supporting this war, and call for peace.

  • Just some simple questions. Does Poland, Russia Germany Belgium France Finland Sweden Holland Spain Italy...etc, have military bases in the U.S. ?? I don't think so. Well...why the U.S. must have military bases in Europe? Why they need to put there nose always in someone else's business? To speak about bad public relations, they are number one !

    • @Airdisaster Well, before the Obama disaster, the U.S. was the benevolent friend of all nations. It's that simple. What freedom there is in the world is brought to the world and protected through the generosity of the U.S. which has historically led the way in freedom. We are seeing now how all that precarious peace can be destroyed by one amatuer ideologue. It is tragic.

    • @tymoss The ability to copy and paste from a left wing hate site does not an intellectual argument make. If you want to hate the U.S., you are free to do so. No logic or facts will dissuade you in your quest. You've accepted a premise that hating the U.S. imperialist running dogs is an indicia of wisdom and intellect.
Never mind what you are seeing. Never mind what is happening. Rice and Power, the architects of Obama's disasterous foreign "policy" are stewards of chaos, anarchy More..

      so
      what yer saying is ;
      oBama never was about hope-n-change.....
What he wanted to accomplish in office he did in the first four months,
all under the radar of course

  • It makes little difference if the CIA was providing intelligence or not. It makes a HUGE AND BLOODY difference that Russia is ARMING Assad.

  • US support for terrorism, hands down. Obama is a terrorist, and the American complacency on this issue is making them a party to it.

  • The US playing games as usual. And, as for the past 50 years, failing to achieve anything other than bloodshed and disorder.

  • what about the shelling of towns...what about the defectors...

interesting point ....but little one sided

    Posted Aug-12-2012 By

    • @yaleoo so what, u expect the government to just sit there and have rebels take over towns?...

or just send in young men to die recapturing the town? ofcourse they SHELL IT! its their JOB!!!

u dont just sit there when rebels take over towns, u send in the army to do what its ment to do...

and defectors are nothing new, it would happen when a country is fighting so many outside POWERS in order to survive.

    • @dontcomplain

on your logic is somebody kidnap you and your family while robbing your house then is OK to BOMB and destroy your entire house ...with your and your family inside.

      idiot ...

    • @dontcomplain

and the latest do not actually happen

when facing external enemies ...they are actually call traitor ...yet here it seem they just change sides on an internal civil war.

...believe whatever you one...but in my country never in case of war a minister had suddenly change for the other side...or even a soldier...less a general...

so ...come on ..I try to be impartial here...but you had no logic or evidence of nothing but claims...

    • @dontcomplain I expect Assad to step down peacefully instead of sending his thugs to slaughter the people.

      Posted Aug-12-2012 By

    • @Overkill4000 well i can agree to that. i too would like assad to step down to behonest, because then the rebels will have less reason to round with guns, and thus less civilians dying and structures being destroyed etc.

but i think problem with that is that he feels that he has to stand his ground, since the rebels took arms, tnx to outside powers, SO FAST. so basically, i would, reason that because of the fact that assad would see the armed rebels, who are being directly funded by certain coun More..

  • Pepe Escobar is a very credible person and brilliant analyst.
The amatuer, Barack Hussein Obama, is The Bringer of Death.
    What a complete catastrophy.
Libya and Syria descend into anarchy.
    Egypt will soon starve.
Meanwhile, Obama's Mexican gun running partners continue to slaughter.

    • @fookalah Assad's thugs (shabihah) and his indicriminate shelling of civilian areas are the atrocities here. Why don't you come here and see for yourself??

  • Who is the ally of the USA?
Mercenaries of FSA + Al Qaeda
    OR
inhabitants of Syria who protect the country from terrorists?

Fighters of FSA and Al Qaeda: these are savages and mercenaries who want to establish a totalitarian radical Muslim mode in Syria.
