  • Two easy to produce IED's damaged or destroyed 2 massive MRAP's (worth around $800,000 each), no wonder the US is going broke and no wonder the American people are tired of this bullshit war.

    • @werdum12 War is not about how much one side spends. You don't win if you spend less money. You win by killing more of the enemy, just what we are doing.

    • @werdum12 I've read they are "only" 550,000, but yes, this is what will really break America since it costs nothing for the Afghans to do this. It's their land and it's a low cost war, that they are used to fight for 100 years. There is no war to win as it cannot be won!

  • Route clearance eh?

  • That is horrible. I could not imagine what it is like over there. Especially living with the fear of IED's everywhere. I didn't see any movement from the first two vehicles, are they sure of no injuries? Or are they hiding behind trucks or something? Sorry if that is mentioned in the video, but my speakers crapped themselves this morning.

    • @CookieWhore Those vehicles are designed to take IED's, the crew are well potected (even though it looks a mess) think F1 car where the driver has a special 'cab' around him.......and NOTHING worries a soldier more than IED's...nothing.

  • this is what we have to deal with, this is the only weapon they have because naturally we have to travel the roads. the only good thing is that our knowledge and our vehicles are catching up to them, deaths have dramatically decreased. the insurgents are weak, this is a tactic of the weak however they are still a problem and always will be. we are fighting a group of people that believe just because we are not muslim they have to fight us yet the muslims that they fight with or support will brin More..

  • I originally uploaded this video from my deployment in my youtube channel. Not worried about it being uploaded here on this site as I do visit it every now and again. BUT, when I see these comments from phony ass internet insurgents trying to "Jihad" the internet. I got something to say regarding this video, on that day, shortly after these blasts took place. We got into a complex attack for 9 hours. Which started after I took initiative and gunned down someone I suspected to be a More..

    • @-Tipping_Point- Really? I'm glad fuck face on LL knows better military tactics than us on the ground. Fucking idiot.

    • @ParkwayDrive1976 Hahaha, fuck face, good one toaster breath. Who says American military tactics are good? It's not like they're winning this war.

    • @-Tipping_Point- When some completely uneducated moron (probably like yourself), can go plant a bomb that costs no more than 30 dollars and borrowing Abdul's ducktape, and destroy a 5 million dollar piece of equipment, yeah fuck face, America is doing something SERIOUSLY wrong. Now go back to shooting your turkeys and drinking your moonshine...

    • @-Tipping_Point- We are the only super power in the world and have the greatest military in the history of mankind. Your first mistake, calling the Taliban uneducated morons. They are incredibly smart and adaptive. I respect them very much. You, on the other hand, are the uneducated moron. Production wise, planting an IED takes a lot more than 30 dollars and a Buffalo does not cost anywhere near 5 million. Plus, war is not about spending less money. Do you lose if you spend more money? M More..

  • These MRAP vehicles have not been as effective as hoped, Taliban insurgents have simply built bigger bombs to counter the extra armour.
Another big problem is that they are less maneuverable than the Humvee and are much more expensive to build (6 times as much).
Ammonium Nitrate fertilizer is easy to import from Pakistan, that's why the Taliban always have more than enough for their massive bombs.

These guys were lucky but it doesn't always pan out like that.

    • @werdum12 You complain that the Taliban build bigger bombs so we need more armor. Then you bitch that they aren't as mobile as a Humvee. A Humvee isn't mine resistant at all. You make no sense.

    • @PimeTaradox You obviously do not know anything about the military.

These vehicles are designed to have IEDs detonated on them. Would it be better if they picked them up? Of course, but it's much better for one of these vehicles to get hit than one of mine going down that road later.

Command wire IEDs are nearly impossible to detect or prevent if placed well. It doesn;t matter what you have, you'll set them off.

  • As much as I agree with killing terrorists and nabbing the oil for ourselves I think that this war will end up like Vietnam. Where funding is cut because of how unpopular the war is and we just end up leaving.
