Syria - FSA's Farouq Brigade Captures 40-60 SAA Soldiers (Homs)

@valhalla-riot according to them, most of them puttheir weapons downa dn surrendered after an ambush, they didnt fight back cause, they said, it would've been useless plus one of them sounds like a defector giving a message out to all other soldiers still on service to give up and they will be given shelter, otherwise they will be all killed, its useless to defend the Assad regime

I might agree if this was not the group it was but this video is of Al Farouq and these guys are the largest contingent of the ever shrinking FSA who are fighting for the purpose of liberation. One of the last of the rebel groups I have respect for.

FSA is not AQ they are a, mainly muslim but secular mix of civilians and defected soldiers. There is a video showing a group of defected Christian SAA soldiers in the Farouq Brigade. AQ & foreign mercs are there for their own reasons and are wrongly being lumped in w/ the core groups of the FSA.

FSA started under the guise of protecting soldiers families and civilians. It was that way for a long time but I do believe you raise a good point. Farouq Brigade went on record on 7/30/12 that they would now follow Geneva laws and act accordingly with any POW in their custody and welcomed the RC monitors. Their asses on the line but that remains to be seen and rest assured the foreign mercs won't be so obliging.
