The two teenage boys entered the mini mart at about 1.30pm, brandished their knives and demanded cash.

But their demands were refused by the woman who issued the ultimate Halloween trick, screaming at them to "f ... off" before showering them with chocolate bars she grabbed from the counter.

She then chased the boys out of the store and into a nearby field, where the suspects dumped their jackets and fled empty handed.
