An actor playing Judas in a staging of 'Passion' in Itararé (SP), crashed during the show late on Friday (6).
According to information from the Municipal Guard Itararé, actor James Klimeck, who attended the theater in Cathedral Square, would have been confused with the ties of the scenery and accidentally hanged himself.
During the performance, the actor climbed on a rock scene and had a rope placed around the neck, then simulate the hanging of Judas (see opposite).
The enactment continued, because the number of members did not realize that James was unconscious. According to an account of the members of the play, James was unconscious for about four minutes because he was part of the action of playing dead. The actor was taken unconscious by rescuers SAMU to the Santa Casa of the city, where he remained hospitalized in the ICU until the morning of Saturday (7), when he was transferred in critical condition to a hospital in Itapeva (SP).
According to a spokesperson for the hospital, James undergoes specific tests such as CT, and monitoring of neurologists, but the state of his health is still serious. The next medical report will be released after 16h.
The principal part regretted what he called "inevitable" and said that all safety procedures were followed.
Already the City of Itararé reported that supported the structure of the piece, but had no direct connection with the event.
