Type 42 Destroyer HMS Edinburgh (D97), performs the Royal Navy's final live fire exercise with the Sea Dart air defence missile.
The launches took place off the Outer Hebrides during Exercise Joint Warrior, against Mirach drones.
Sea Darts have nine confirmed successful engagements which comprise six Argentinian aircraft, 2 Argentinian helicopters, and one Iraqi Silkworm missile which had locked on to USS Missouri.
All Type 42 vessels are due to be withdrawn from service in 2013, & are being replaced by a handful of the new Type 45, which use the new Sea Viper missile.
