Karzai warns Pakis to stop terrorists, suicide bombers from crossing into Afghanistan

Kabul, Oct. 5 (ANI): Expressing his desire to sign a strategic pact with Pakistan, Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai, said it would be possible only if Pakistan stops terrorists and suicide bombers from crossing in to Afghanistan.



"We are happy to have strategic relations with Pakistan. We want this strategic pact with Pakistan. But we want some conditions and preconditions from Pakistan," The Express Tribune quoted Karzai, as saying.



"If these conditions are met - terrorism is stopped, extremism is dismantled, anti-Afghan activities are stopped, destruction of Afghanistan is stopped, friendship starts between the two countries which hasn't happened so far - then a strategic pact would be signed between Afghanistan and Pakistan," he added.



Karzai further criticised the Western media for gloomy predictions about Afghanistan's future once U.S.-led foreign forces withdraw from the war against Taliban insurgents in 2014.



"This is a psychological war by the Western media against Afghanistan: once the foreign troops pull out, Afghanistan will be poor, there will be civil war and the Taliban will return, etc," Karzai said. (ANI)

    • @Afghanburger TEN years? thats a little optimistic 5yrs is more like it...he is ten years to late making threats/warnings to pakistan,if we thought Afghanistan is hostile the border region 10x worse.Analysts have suggested areas around Kurram is the best location along the entire Pakistan-Afghanistan as its as uncontrolable today as it was 1000yrs ago

    Line up all the soldiers / militia trained by the Coalition on your border with Pakistan.

    Kill everything that crosses from Pakistan into your country.

    Then advance 100 meters into Pakistan and kill everyone you find. Then another 100 meters - do the same thing.

    Advance 5 km, then stop. Remember - EVERYTHING that would normally have had a heartbeat behind you - clear to the Afghan/Paki border is dead!

    Go back home and tell the Paki's that anyone within 5 km of the border will More..
