A turtle has performed a theatrical dive into a lake three feet below at the 2011 Players Championship in Sawgrass.

Captured by television cameras, the dive was screened live to the watching audience and provided some welcome relief from the rain interrupted round of golf.

All the action took place at the par-5 16th hole at TPC Sawgrass, in the third round of the players championships.
