Winnipeg Police Brutality 1 of 2.... getting arrested for paying your parking ticket

Apparently paying your $35 parking ticket with pennies will get you arrested, assaulted, and then accused of assaulting an officer in Winnipeg. They will take cash but apparently they won't take pennies, and tell you to leave. These fine WOMEN officers despite being told they are video taped are showing some fine police behavior. They also were trying to force me to stop filming this video. I told them I have freedom of the press and I can do whatever I want. They also refused to give me their names, show, or present anyone with their badge numbers. They also in the second video get to the point where they are telling the other officers arriving on scene that the man was fighting them. Watch the video and clearly you can see that he did not fight the officers and they were using excesive force. Also despite me mentioning this the police woman in the second video waves her had at me, and is like "PFTTT that's your side of it". I then mention again I am video taping this.Loading Poll.....

      I couldnt agree more. We didnt see the whole thing as it occured and Im guessing by the mere fact that they went there with pennies was simply to stir the pot and hope to get a reaction. Well,they got one and I hope it "was worth every penny".

    As for "police brutality" and apparently "getting arrested for paying a parking ticket", as a rational person, i don't buy that for one second. And the fact you chose not to show what happened inside when you were being a douche, nor showing what happened immediately prior to being arrested makes me comfortable in that assumption.

      ...then i watched Pt 2 of 2. Exactly as i suspected. You weren't arrested for paying with pennies, you were arrested for causing a disturbance, and acting threatening towards an innocent person who was just trying to do thier job, because you were mad that you had to pay a parking ticked that YOU incurred.

    • @Itchy999 He went in to pay with the pennies, had them the parking ticket the exact change and left. They then told him to come back and take his pennies and leave. He did not come back for the pennies.

  • No government will accept pennies as a form of payment.
    The IRS gets this all year, every year.

    Use Dollars,, not pennies.
    I did,,, 180 dollars fills two pockets.

    I felt a bit guilty because the clerk had to count the money... what did she ever do to me.....
    She made me wait 10 minutes to finally pay my fine.... at that point the 180 one dollar bills couldn't be more perfect.

    I even made it outta the court house with One of the one Dollar bills.
