i feel terrible for this man but feel that he should have not been used in this way to further religious propaganda. even more disgusting than what he is going through. While this is a passive religious exchange it is still part of the problem we face today with extremists.

It's not all positive, if you watch both parts you'll see that the underlying theme here is he lived a homosexual lifestyle and brought this upon himself. It is a warning that God's way is to have a heterosexual marriage in order to receive his blessings. That's not a positive message for thiose who are naturally gay. A quick video on condoms and risks would be far more beneficial.

i think if a god exists it is the force behind all living beings (irrespective of any human being's sexuality)
a blade of grass, for example, is part of that collective consciousness known as god, imo

So? What the hell does that say about the good of this video. You're using your personal belief to ignore my central point.
Using a dying guy to scare gays straight does nothing but oppress them for their sexuality and promotes the whole "being gay is a choice" nonsense, and your lack of a "belief in a god fashioned after man" in no way makes this a positive act.
