3 OKC Police Officers Accused Of Misconduct
Three Oklahoma City police officers are accused of lying and interfering with investigations, police said.
A 10-year veteran is under investigation on suspicion of obstructing another officer during a drug investigation.
Two
other officers were also investigated but chose to resign rather than
face charges. One was a a seven-year veteran who had been accused of
falsifying a police report in an assault case back in August.
The other officer was a five-year veteran accused of lying during a DUI traffic stop in April.

"Everyone does stupid things, sometimes you get caught , sometimes not..."
Stupid things yes, but some people never conduct themselves in an unethical way, especially on the job. A few jobs I can think of where that is one of the primary attributes required is police officer.

You would hope so, but I believe it's the us against them gang like mentality that makes cops especially vulnerable to 'bending' a rule or two to cover a co workers ass. It's the same with unions and political parties. When the pack is threatened, you show your teeth, even if you don't know why.
Ethical, in my oppinion, is gone from just about every profession...in fact I can't think of one where ethics are paramount!
Money and pride are all that matters.

But...just a few bad apples. Right?
The whole bunch of you leo-types are nothing more than enablers. Being a police officer is no longer noble profession, falling somewhere between outsourced customer service reps and the dude who washes the towels from a low-budget porno set.

Why the fuck would a resignation END a prosecution. If they did the crime go after them. It's not like a bank robber isn't going to lose his job, give back the money and that's the end of it....fuck that...arrest them, convict them and send them all to jail.
