ripresa.

Since
1989, the Monte Adone Centre for Conservation and Research of Exotic
and Wild Fauna (NPO - Voluntary Association) rescues, cures and
rehabilitates the injured indigenous wildlife animals found on the
territory of Bologna province (Emilia Romagna Region, Italy) in order to
reintroduce them in nature. Moreover the Monte Adone Center welcomes
the exotic animal species sequestered because of their illegal trading,
detention and mistreatment (www.centrotutelafauna.org).
On
January 9, 2012 the wolf Navarre was recovered from the icy waters of a
river in very dramatic conditions: undernourished, with a paralysis of
the hind limbs and with 35 lead pellets in his body.
After several
diagnostic tests, two weeks of intensive care in the infirmary,
monitored 24 hours 24, Navarre started to walk. He was transferred to
another enclosure of the Centre, suitable for his rehabilitation, which
requires a gradual recovery of motor function without subjecting him to
excessive physical effort. Thanks to a video camera placed in the
enclosure Navarre is monitored day and night without being disturbed.
It's
still a long way, various diseases have weakened him a lot, but
Navarre, thanks to his incredible will to live and care he received,
started to walk improving gradually and giving good signs of recovery.

@fuchajen and what about all the animals they denied food to by not letting the wold die and become part of the food chain? were they being compassionate to them? how many of those animals will die now because they were denied food?
the best thing man can do for nature is have as little interaction as possible.

Fuck the car accidents, police brutality, drunken russian weddings, and muslims exploding. Animal videos are the most enjoyable.

Why I have more sympathy toward injured animals than I do humans I'm not sure, but this video put a smile on my face. Keep it classy humanity.

nothing goes to waste in nature. animals that die during winter in ponds, lakes, rivers and streams are often the first meal for animals that survived the winter when they come out in spring.
while this vid tugs at your heartstrings with emotional music and tearjerking scenes it makes no mention of the many animals that will go hungry and possibly die because they were denied a wolf carcus.

@Salt: the Italians (most of the Europeans did it in fact, big hunters...) killed all of their fauna, it's quite understandable the struggle to save a lonely wolf.

@Salt ahh yes, the generations before messed it up and now its our job to fix it. will the generation after us say the same? i have a sick feeling that one day we will surround it all with one big fence and send our children on field trips there so they can say they saw a tree or a bird or whatever.

There were tears of joy in the Wolf Rehabilitation Centre when - he having eaten one of the carers' faces - they knew Navarre had made a complete recovery.
