It is Cleanup time in Syria !! Down with all Icons of the Assad Cult.
We have thousands of Statues and billboards of our Dictator , of his Dead Dictator Father, of the almost Dictator who thankfully killed himself in a car accident while high on drugs - (Basil Assad), and probably even of the Dictators' pet dog, (just kidding). It will take months and we will fill whole garbage pits with the thousands of Cult of the Personality icons we have had to live with staring out at us from every corner for the past 40 years. We have been obligated to even put their faces on our living room walls and on our cars to show we are loyal servants of the regime.
What makes these images even more awe-inspiring is the fact that the Regime's stormtroopers are machine-gunning and using rpg grenades on these activists, are using tanks on them, and as of last week was attacking these crowds with helicopter gunships, shooting missiles into the rallies. Farms and homes are being burned to the ground, livestock are being machine gunned and water supplies are being poisoned by the Baath Party Alawite Army and Secret Police. This Revolution should get just as much and more news coverage as the Egypt and Libya and Jordan democracy movements by Anderson Cooper, CNN, Fox News, BBC News, Al Jazeera news, ABC news, NBC news, CBS news, Skye News, France 24 news, and all of the other news outlets. MTV and VH1 and all the youth music video cable channels need to pick up this youth led revolution and give coverage to the incredible Bravery and Courage and Vision of these Revolutionary Youth. Civil rights movements and leftists and liberals and socialists need to take note that this is the greatest struggle of the 21st Century to date!! Anti - War groups who are always in the streets demonstrating for peace and for justice for Palestine like Workers World and ANSWER and IAC and their leaders Sara Flounders, Brian Becker and Larry Holmes need to stop supporting Assad's reign of terror against the Syria Unions and Workers and wake up and realize that there are 300 million Arabs who all want Freedom, and the middle east is much more than just Gaza or the West Bank, noble as those causes are. Hamas and Hezbollah and China and Russia are helping Bashar Assad to kill us and to maintain his grip on power and we will kick them all out of Syria when we triumph. American and NATO needs to help us to be free and should give us more aid and should embargo Syria and cut off all Syria trade with the outside world, and sink the Dictator's navy ships that have been shooting at us from off of the Latakia coast.
It may interest American and Europeon viewers that one of the most frequently yelled slogans at these Democracy protests is " Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death " yes - it is straight out of the US Revolutionary War. !!
