Foundational Falsehoods of Creationism Exposed Bare: For Stupid Americans

THE foundational falsehoods of the creationism movement; the idea that accepting evolution is tantamount to declaring atheism, or that one need be creationist to be Christian. This idiocy is primarily an American phenomenon and should be the source of excruciating embarrassment. Yet even our presidential candidates stand on the world stage and enthusiastically declare their belief in magic and rejection of science. There can no longer be any rational excuse for this pathetic insult to our collective intelligence and nation as a whole. The world is laughing at our stupidity as they slowly shake their heads...even the freaking pope.

  • Being ignorant isn't limited to Creationists. Atheists are equally ignorant when they lump all Believers and Agnostics together under a single belief system so it's easier to stereotype them.

Certainly there are ignorant people of all beliefs. I am an atheist that has many Christian friends. We all believe that a thinking person should have conviction of their beliefs. An agnostic is just a nervous atheist. A Christian is a nervous Jew that thinks they have a top rated insurance policy.

    • @joe prole You're absolutely right. I cant count the amount of times that I've tried to convince an atheist that he could no more disprove god than a religious could prove gods existence. Either way I'ts based on faith. Just accept that no-one really knows!

  • Good untill the nonsense at the end with god starting evolution. That's just pandering to religious people who despite their handicap have seen reason and accept evolution.

If you accept that the [Insert religion of your choice] god started it all, then you have to acknowledge every single diety that has ever been thought of, prayed to or written about, including the many thousands of dieties worshipped before we had the written word.

You don't get to pick and choose based on which religion yo More..

Thats not what he's saying at all.

He is saying that the nonexistence of god is not provable by scientific method. Only creationism is!

I agree that organized religion is a hoax. IMO

  • That was too complex for the people hooked on creationism. They can only absorb tiny sounds bites that have been repeated 100s of times.

Take your top 10 points; condense each into a phrase of less than 10 words and PUT that out with the same kind of entertaining graphics. Oh, and get a narrator that has a south Texas drawl.

Faith is the source of excruciating embarrassment.

Why do children sleep through Church? Because they are not indoctrinated yet.

Why do old people sleep through Church? Because they realize it’s bullshit, but are hedging their bets.

  • Wow, probably the best vid regarding creationism I have ever seen, but there is no turning some people no matter how much evidence you shove down their throat. Oh well... shit happens.

And on the 8th day, God smoked a FATTY!

  • Great video! If I were a Christian I would embrace evolution. I would feel better knowing that I was a natural part of the world as opposed to a separate alien being that was placed on earth by God.

The narrator goes on to explain why religion and science are not, and need not be exclusive to one another!

I did get that. Closed minded, I mean some people just won't accept the evolution theory no matter how much proof you present.

No, I don't think you did.

You referred to "religeous people" even though this video is debunking Creationism" not religion!

In fact he states that one of the myths is the fact that evolotion and science are INCOMPATIBLE. Its Creationism that is incompatible with science, not religion.

He also cites many people of science who are religious but reject creationism.

Watch the video again if you didn't comprehend it properly the first time.

Oh and BTW I'm an agnostic More..

  • O, ye who lack Faith. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the word. Evolution is real. I didn't come from apes, but there has been up-right walking ape-like creatures. The bible doesn't say he used magic to create anything, it doesn't say "GOD" made these creations in a short time period either. In the "7 Days of Creation" in the Bible, Those aren't really just "7 days/week" Because it says a Blink of the Eye is like a thousand years. How many times d More..

So when it rain for 40 days and nights that was 716.66 Million years?
Faith is belief without proof. As soon as you prove something, you are not longer talking about faith....so be careful you don't prove God right out of existance.

    • @johnsonbilly74 Throw the scriptures into the trash, delete all deities, now show me the demonstrable link between the two.

    • @johnsonbilly74 Here is a way to put things into a bit more perspective: Stop relying on the fucking bible for explanations of matters explained by science. It negates the need to calculate how many blinks of an eye in a day (a number that can never be a constant) as a unit of time for calculating years in the millions.

It is one of the stupidest proposals for such measurement which shall ever exist.

"according to guys, your presently evolving into more sophisticated apes anyway, right?"

I never heard any of them say that. If you think that the science of evolution says this, you are grossly ignorant of what this science has determined. It DOES NOT, IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM state that humans evolved More..
