You are responsible for your track record...
 Part of channel(s): Yoursay (promoted)

Its in my best interest to hire those who are best qualified, and have the best history of being responsible, and accountable. This concept is completely unreasonable for quite a few people.

Being a felon certainly does not rule you out, per se. However, typically felons have horrible job history, and bad attitudes. All things being equal, I'd prefer to have someone in my store that does not have a history of violent, sociopathic behavior, or theft (yea, a little redundant).

When given the choice between someone whom has great references, a good attitude, and no unexplained gaps in job history; and someone whom none of these things can be said about, who do you pick?

  • If I owned a franchise fast food place, you would be a top pick to hire as my general manager. You take this job very seriously, and put a lot of mental energy into it. Good job, and if you can save up to open your own franchise one day.

  • This video tells me more about you and the company you work for than it does about the people you're trying to hire.

  • At the end of the day, all he is saying is that if you want to apply for a job, do your homework and try to present yourself in the best way possible. Be organized and polite. Many positions require a manager to sift through tons of c.v.s - many looking all the same. The ones that stick out are the great ones and the really shitty ones. I cannot count the number of applications I have received for a quality assurance position that were full of spelling mistakes - I mean c'mon. Give middle ma More..

  • Wow after watching this video this guy really makes himself sound like a douche.

I understand why he would be good at his job but he may end up losing a few teeth.

  • Make them fight it out for a job. Like a blood sport.
But be sure to film it and upload it here. Then all the dudes that left negative comments will scramble to sub to your page and cheer you on.

  • If you are a hiring manager, even in fast food, posting this little bitch session is not going to help you one bit. Just saying, bad form for someone in that position.

Not knocking you Kid_A, always like your posts. But you need to think about who might see something like this and how they will take it.

  • Nice title... You are the first GM of anything that I see bitching about crap on the inter webs. Clearly your Fortune 500 company does not have a policy on about ranting on social media, but don't you be worried; Your video tells me that you are very responsible with your track record. /end sarcasm

  • I pick the psycho-felon hands-down. That way it's easy to fire someone when the shit invariably hits the proverbial fan. Just don't give them too may responsibilities (ie. put them on broom/trashcan-duty).
