Some civilians joined the battle. That's why I never think so called muslim or black problems would go out of control in China because we have dominant Han population and people will definitely defend themselves when the govt fails to do so.

It started with a foreigner died in hospital after a fight with a driver over taxi fare, which is under investigation by police. Hundreds of foreigners gathered outside the police station and blocked the traffic on the main road during rush hours. Riot police were sent to control the chaos. The crowd were dispersed after two hours of patient persuasion by police. Police issued warning that all people, Chinese or foreign nationals, shoud all abide by laws in China.
