Mike Huckabee interviews anti-feminist activist, Phyllis Schlafy.
Two religious nuts claim Obama is engaged in a war on religions because Walter Reed Naval Hospital issued some silly policy that visitors may not bring religious articles into the hospital (which was rescinded and claimed to have been an error), and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) acted on a complaint received by an employee fired from a Lutheran school (the whole reason the EEOC exists is to receive and act on employment complaints), and consistent with Whitehouse standard policy for all speeches by the president, Georgetown University was asked to cover all writing and symbols on a stage where the president would speak.
Schafly claims Georgetown was asked to removed the "monogram of Jesus Christ because he [Obama] did not want to see them". The monogram in question was "IHS". IHS stands for the Latin phrase Iesus Hominum Salvator, “Jesus the Savior of (all) Men”. During the speech however, the president quoted from the sermon on the mount, one of Jesus' most famous speeches. No specific request was made by the Whitehouse that it be removed. Had there been one however it would have been entirely appropriate and consistent with constitutional restrictions forming the basis of a separation of church and state.
Both of these fanatics are the worst sort of liars. They are not stupid so they certainly know that Obama does not set visitor policy for Walter Reed or have any involvement with the operations of the EEOC. Every example they discuss has nothing to do with their claim that Obama is at war with religion.
