  • Barret Brown is not Anonymous because well...he's not anonymous. However, all the FBI has succeeded in doing taking BB in is to cause an upsurge in Anonymous. For every one they cart away 10 more take their place.

    • @thinkslaughter Thats funny because the Los Zetas sure thought we could hurt them. They did release the Anon after all, along with quite a few others as they weren't sure which was the Anon in question. Guess they didn't want the information going to the Mata Zetas. I would say it's going pretty good. You might be amazed who is willing to listen to a bunch of so called "script kiddies" bearing information they desperately want.

  • These kids pick up the odd script kiddie tool, and ten minutes later they're self-proclaimed members of a cracking (notice I use the correct terminology) team after pointing their 'tools' (like low orbit) to a no-mark website and videoing the site slowly failing to respond. Then they show all their mates and start bragging, and before you know it some goon from the fed is brought to attention by an easy arrest.

    • @GatewayMetalHead I really doubt they would employ people like Barret Brown because they're little more than 'hacktivists' using software coded and written by the people who they (the feds) would really like to have on their side. Give Barret brown a shell or Perl script or a little C routine, and they'd look at you totally bewildered unless they had an extensive manual of use to go with it.   • For awhile on Liveleak a popular move by various trolls was to claim they were from Anonymous. They would threaten to punish Liveleak and whatever users had just given them a verbal smack-down in various comment threads. They'd get laughed at every time.

  • I've heard(read) that "Anonymous" was going to shut down Facebook for a few days and this and that. It never happened though. They probably have done something to get some notoriety going, but I haven't seen anything.
