The Ohio State Highway Patrol released the dash-cam video of the crash that claimed the lives of three Bowling Green State University students. The four girls were confirmed dead and two more injured out of the crash on Interstate 75 Friday.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said that a woman was driving a vehicle the wrong way on I-75 to cause the crash at around 2:30 a.m. She was driving southbound in the northbound lanes, according to the OHP. That driver was killed in the crash.
According to BGSU officials Rebekah Blakkolb, 20, of Aurora; Sarah Hammond, 21, of Yellow Springs; Christina Goyett, 19, of Bay City, Mich. were all killed. Angelica Mormile, 19, of Garfield Heights and Kayla Somoles, 19, of Cleveland were injured in the crash.
“We’re shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic news,” said BGSU President Mary Ellen Mazey in a news release. “Our hearts go out to the families, friends and sorority sisters of these young women.”The woman were members of Alpha Xi Delta Woman's Fraternity who were leaving for spring break.
