  • I still love the 1911. Over 100 years of service and it's still standard issue all over the world.

    • @EmrysM If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Browning was a genius. His .50 caliber machine gun has also been in service for about 90 years now and is still the gun we put on top of our Hummers and Tanks.

    • @furious1 Some people wanted a high velocity gun, some a little less lethal of a gun, the .45 was designed originally to take down highly aggressive and drugged tribal warriors.. The guns they had just weren't doing the job so they wanted something with more stopping power.

  • Not a huge fan of Taurus. But I hear they are good pieces..
I am more of a Smith and Wesson fan myself. (SW Model 627 and SW1911)

I am, however, a big fan of cleaning your weapon, and with all the shootin vids up on LL, I'm kinda glad to see someone actually cleaning their weapon.
    Nice job.

    • @Panzerknacker2 I agree with Wharris. It is nice to see someone doing maintenance BUT you never ran a swab down the inside of the barrel? You wiped down the outside and all? Did I just miss it?

BTW Ruger fan here. Love those 1911's but just too bulky for my little hands..

    • @DemocratWithDerringer Everybody has his uses, someone put hoppes N9 all over but in a alluminium/stainlees steel pistol like this I dont feel like useful, this is a fast way for a short vid in internet, dont take it as it is perfect.
