A severe weather/tornado outbreak that began Thursday afternoon and is still continuing has claimed the lives of at least 17 people ( 3 children) spanning four states across the South.

UPDATE: April 16/11 - at 3:45pm EST Meteorologists and Spotters in the Greater Raleigh Area Reported a Large Tornado on the ground 4 Miles South of downtown. EF Scale not known at this time.
