  • Not a single f*^ck was given because the firefighters need a SWAT team to escort them to the fire, but there is no money to pay for a SWAT team.

  • An improvement. This is what liberal central planning and community organizers like Barack Obama have to offer. This is the result of leftist compassion. Socialist utopia where equality is gained by dragging everybody in the community down to the same bottom rung. Abject poverty and perpetual misery and failure for all, but it's equal. This is what the FLEA-Baggers want for us all.

Finally someone with some intelligence. That's so true about social liberal policies. I've heard liberals touting raising minimum wage to $16 per hour. Of course the sheeple with no intelligence will support such a policy because they are thinking about themselves. Isn't that how most Liberals are though? Why bother thinking about repercussions as long as you get the vote amirite Liberals?? I always loved how Liberals say they're for the small guy and then go and create econom More..

    • @hamburger You're exactly right. Thomas Sowell is great at outlining what you're saying.

The problem is that liberalism is emotion-based, and liberals are stage-one thinkers. They don't consider repercussions or consequences, they just act.

Minimum wage is one of the best examples. Conservatives and Libertarians hate poor people because they believe that raising the minimum wage hurts employers and employees. The fact that it's true, the negative impact, is irrelevant.

      Double the minimum wage More..

  • Too bad that fire didn't spread out into a 20 mile radius.

  • Now if they'll just let that spread the property values will go up for the first time in thirty years.
