  • Imagine the stench inside that thing.
It's funny that their language doesn't have words for "nuclear submarine".

  • Why?????

It's just as easy to crash a suface vessel into a harbor or another ship.

  • Pakistan's hit list? You must be joking! Pakistan is failed state, with about half its territory controlled by terrorists. When you defeat the TTP come back and start crowing and maybe we'll listen.

  • Who exactly is this propaganda supposed to be fooling? According to all these bullshit Pakistan military videos that keep being posted one would think they are soon to take over the world. lol

  • Nuke subs are chiefly to grant a second-strike capability: i.e. let's say India just nuked all your known missile launch sites.

Something tells me their sub will have a mysterious accident while submerged shortly after it is floated. Such is the way these things are resolved these days :p

  • And we give them Aid money, we dont even have a working aircraft carrier to defend our own shores.

  • The folks on the hit-list are anyone that invades their country or keeps bombing it. Seems reasonable to me.

  • If they were to use a nuke, it would almost certainly be on India.

They hate each other so much, Pakistan created and still funds the Afghan Taliban to defeat the Soviets (who were friends with the Indians because Pakistan didn't want two hostile nations on other side of them.)

If the entire Afghan conflict came out of the relationship between Pakistan and India, they would probably use a nuke on one another.

    • @cswartz

Nuke war is unlikely, nobody wants Indian Ocean and Afghanistan to be affected by aftermath of the Nukewar(i mean radioactive exposure). Those are major trade routes and such an event is against the interest of Businessmen and investors. Whats happening between India n Pak is espionage/urban warfare. Indian intelligence agencies fund Taliban to carry out strikes against Pak, vice versa. Nukes are just for deterrent..you can say huge dicks created to be virgin forever.

  • One thing that confuses me about nuclear subs is the radioactive water they make.

Is it stored into barrels and disposed of correctly, or is it just pumped out into the ocean?

    • @sungam
      Guess.

      Posted Jun-3-2012 By

    • @sungam They don't make radioactive water. No nuclear power plant does.

    • @sungam Do they emit radioactive water? I was under the impression that seawater flowed AROUND the reactor core and never touched anything radioactive? Same way it works in nuke plants.

    • @kingfordlm Oh really? I was under the impression that water was heated up by the nuclear rods, converted into steam, then that pressure increase runs a generator to create electricity. I thought water in contact or anywhere near the nuclear rods would in turn become radioactive.

Granted I know fuck all about this. Just a question.

    • @sungam Well I can't pretend I'm a complete expert but my understanding is that they are basically closed systems and water that actually circulates through the reactor core never leaves the reactor, and it in turn is cooled by other water indirectly through heat exchangers, but the two never directly mix.

  • Pakistan has nukes. Pakistan harbored the terrorist Osama Bin Laden. But Pakistan is our "ally". Right.
