Teachers, Professors, Generals, Doctors.... Any person that was Educated was a target that was to be eliminated.
"How do you kill the beast? - you cut it's head off" That was the mentality of the Russians during those times. Their main motivation was revenge. Poland kicked the crap out of them during WW1 and this was their pay back.
Poland never resorted to "Murder" during WW1, war is war and it was won fairly. Russia's revenge was cruel and Criminal.
Katyn is where this took place, 25 000 people were murdered with a single gun shot to the head.

I wonder how the men to killed all those people lived with himself. I hope that they were tormented for the rest of their lives and died from a terrible disease. I suppose the Russians were no different than the Germans during that time. Even the Chinese did the same thing as well as the Japanese.

Sorry. I understood your point about the lack of a revenge from the Chinese due to their civil war happening just after WW2, I was just adding a fact about the Japanese atrocities and the lack of apologies after the war.

We have a monument to the Katyn forest massacre here in Baltimore. I haven't seen it yet, after all these years. The Soviet Union murdered more people than the Nazis ever did, but I'd rather fight today against the same altruism and collectivism that underpinned both Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, than continue to be outraged by the past.

EVERY Polish person KNEW that this was done by the Russians.
Living under the Iron curtain, IF you said that it was the Russians - you were also killed.
Once Poland regained their freedom, Poland initiated the fight for the truth.
I gather you're German, but EVERY single Polak knows that THIS specific murder was done by the Russians.
The other concentration camps were Operated and run by German Nazi's.
