@Freakster Trigger pull is different on each and every gun. You can take the gun apart and file down a part to make the trigger very very light if you want. But on a double action revolver like this, the trigger usually takes a good tough pull. It isn't no accident to pull this trigger. You can pull it very hard to cause the double action and fire. Or you can cock the hammer back and pull it a bit easier.

@r00ted No it isn't, I have the same gun. He pulls it back because it is less strain on the hand and easier trigger to pull and more accurate to pull the hammer back before shooting.

Were you close enough? How could you miss? It doesn't take much to destroy a watermelon. You can make it explode by putting rubber bands on it. Couldn't find the japanese one I saw, but found this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PK8dsAeMmPk Basically same thing, except the other video it completely exploded. My point is that it doesn't make much to blow up a watermelon. If rubber bands will do the job the same as your gun did.

.44 magnums are incredibly powerful. My dad used to hunt wild boar with em - think three to four-hundred pound pigs. Three would put em on the dirt, less if aimed properly.
