  • The water approach into runway 10 at Princess Juliana International Airport can be challenging for new or inexperienced pilots, especially if they are making a visual approach. Coming in low over a long stretch of water can be disorienting with only a 3 degree glide slope to follow. The runway itself is just 7550 feet long, so if the Airbus or Boeing 747 is flying "heavy" (fully loaded with passengers, luggage. and fuel), the pilot will need every available foot of runway to bring thin More..

  • Is there such a thing as an 'Incredibly late go-around'? Surely the pilot is absolutely entitled to abort a landing at any time he can do so safely if he is not satisfied with any aspect of the landing.

  • This is Airbus jet. Airbus jet doesn't crash because it has superior computer and is flown by the best pilots from Air France. You can laugh now.

    • @2Phast4Rocket i trust more this good old Jumbo 747, less computer, more human controlled... i never trust the technic.. this new Airbus A380 has many problems with the wheels and weight at landing.. i am from europe, so this is not a usa bashing to a europe company(airbus) , its only my own opinion
