Caught a Salmon once fly fishing. That was the ost amazing fight I ever had with a fish, for damn near and hour and a half. I was exhausted after. It pulled me down stream about a mile.

I'm for helping fish spawn to create much larger fisheries, but I think its fucking beyond stupid to start destroying probably the biggest producer of clean renewable energy that we have without empowering a single alternative to replace it. Somehow I think the lobbyists for dam removal are paid by coal producers and the oil sands in Canada.

There is a dam in east TN (USA) on the Nolichuckey river it hasn't been used for creating power in over 35 years. I'm not sure why the TVA quit using it but they have, and now it's just part of the landscape. Of course I guess there is no reason to tear it down, so I guess it will be there for a long time.
