A whole crowd of soldiers lies dead on the ground after one of them detonated himself. The second video shows more shredded corpes belonging to Central Security being taken away in the back of a vehicle. The initial body count is 96 dead soldiers, and over 300 injured. This is in Sanaa, Al-Sabeen, beside the president's palace. Yemeni military officials say the bomber belonged to the units of Central Security partaking in the parade

Yemen has been crippled by a revolution which has only been partially successful in achieving change, because president Ali Abdullah Saleh has been ousted, but most of his regime and family remain in power including his son Ahmad who leads the Republican Guards. The former president's nephew leads Central Security.

There is major dissatisfaction among civil servants, military and police, and many have fallen into despair. Many government workers have not been paid their wages, in some cases for over a year. There is no solution to the crisis while the old regime and all of their corruption remains in place.
