Fantastic old video. One thing which struck out though was the bit about not panic buying food supllies and the narrator saying theres enough to go round-how very wrong he was.

imagine a modern equivalent.... everyone glued to their twitter for the ministeries first announcement of a strike... tracking incoming over the web with maps at street level of likely impact spots and everyone charging into Kroger like wild animals

The days when the population of the UK actually gave a fuck about what was happening to the country.
Those distant days , before being patriotic got you accused of racism and bigotry, a time when the people were prepared to stand together in defence of their country.
