Why is the police not shooting back ? These people, so called "workers" with no sense of how society, should be arrested and to be forgotten in a cell somewhere deep in the spanish mountains. Stop wasting spanish government's money on police watching you sing. Start working or get shot/arrested. .

They are protesting precisely because they have no work and want to have more.

Man, you are thick.
They are protesting. The protests are not permitted and thus they call the police to dissolve the marches. So they clash with the police.
I don't know how old are you,you should know better.History has proven that protests are a valid method por people to make their point against something they don't like in their society, or to change things. Freedom and democracy is not naturally givem it had to be fought at the expense of blood, toil and tears.

@mcgus Don't know where you are from. But it's been a long time since democracy found it's way in Europe. No need for violence to get what you want. That's just dumb.
Take an education a get a real job. These jobs are dead in about 20 years anyway. More reliable energy forms are being explored. So if you are a mine worker, take an education within some energy sector to make sure you got work in the future. Easy. .

It is easy for you, because you are not in the receiving end. I suppose it is easy for you, but you have tu put yourself sometimes in the shoes of others. It is called empathy. What would you do if you have been a miner all your life? Do you think it is easy to recycle yourself at 40, in a country in the middle of a reccesion? Try thinking what you would do if you had a family to feed and a house to pay.
And, by the way, Spain got democracy in 1978, after 40 years of dictato More..

The Spanish government just bailed out their bankers and then turned around and cut coal subsidies by 63% which cost the miners around 8,000 jobs. Same old story: the bankers get their bonus' and the working man gets the bankers boner...

I hope it is a complete European uprising, not just a war in Spain. What the greedy investors, bankers and mediocre world leaders are doing with the people is inhuman. They want to return to the eighteenth century, in which citizens are pheasants again. Well, they will get their guillotine.

BAsically the bankers etc make bad decisions fuck everything up and they get a free bailout and MORE MONEY and arent held accountable for their errors and the WE PAY for thos mistakes after they get bailed out in fact they arent even mistakes they are scheme of these fuckers to get even richer so my question is of they can simply get bailed out without any repercussions what responsibility will they have in the future?
