@ZANGADO Innocent animals have to die because irresponsible breeders are trying to make an easy buck. Breeders should be forced to perform this work at their own expense or join their unwanted animals in the kill box.

@Scrubby001 Agreed,SOME people are irresponsable here in America too not only breeders and they see a new puppy or kitten as a novelty and when they relise how much work,effort and love is involved they think they can just dump the pet off at the s.p.c.a. when half of these people can't even take care of themselves let alone an animal.

A quick call to your local Animal Control will take care of wandering dogs. They usually charge the owner close to $100 to get a dog back. A lesson the owner is not likely to forget.

Can't they just be put to sleep like at the vet? why do they have to die in such torment? it was bad when the jews were gassed, but somehow it is ok to do it to animals?
And to all the people who want a family pet and then decide to put them away because they cant handle it, this is what happens to your old pet, think before you take a pet, you people make me sick.

@Validated - our local SPCA has a rotating stock of like 200 Pitbulls (and other breeds) - many have no ears, are scarred up like hell and some even have burn scars. They put them out for adoption, but 90% don't get adopted and are euthanized. The laws should be toughened.

Yea, already saw this. Those dogs looked so kind and nice, anyone could've had them adopted.
State can't help stray dogs and give them in adoption, yet some people (regular working people) can't stand to see a dog alone wandering the street.
I have one neighboor with 3 dogs (2 picked off the street) and another one with 12 (all picked off the street). My dog was left tied to a bench, we took her in. No tax money involved in supporting these dogs, just hard working people.

sad, yes it is. but it isn't the shelter's fault. it is all of us that abandon animals, don't get them spayed or neutered, etc. anyone who drops their dog off at a shelter should never be allowed to own another animal.
