Sure, just as the pedestrian could have waited to cross when the light was actually green. This could easily have been a waorse situation where the driver was going 30km/h slower and still hit the pedestrian if he had darted 1-2sec later.

1) kick ass reflexes in an old barrel like that!
2) sure its a crosswalk but would it hurt to stop in the middle and look left/right again in a situation like that???
Thank god nothing serious happened but if it did I would blame the pedestrian! (in the situation as is)
