Theres two other ways to prevent buildup of this icky crud in your ear. At the drug store they sell ear cleaner fluid, a few drops in your ear and let it soak, then drain, take flush with water. I have also tried this weird process called "ear coning". You have to buy these hollow paper and wax cones, about as large as a cigar, on-line by googling the term . You place it in your ear, and light the end on fire! The suction and heat caused thereby, pull the ear wax out onto the wax of the cone where it sticks.
