Rubberneckers and looky-loos are the problem.
There was an accident on a completely different highway to our left, separated by 50 feet of median, it slowed down traffic on OUR side of the road simply because dumbfucks couldn't stop trying to see what happened. Nothing happened on our side, perfect untouched accident-free road slowed down because dipshits are curious.

@moyahoo no, I think it has to do with the fact that people look at the flashing lights instead of looking at the road. you know, "look where you want to go". where I live, it's the law to change lanes if it's safe to do so, or slow down if it isn't. if you can't make a lane change in bad weather, you have no business driving a car at all.
and besides, a lot of these ones happened on bright sunny days.
