Don't you hate it when Credit Card companies get your name wrong?

It's not uncommon to receive credit card offers in the mail, but it wasn’t the credit limit in the envelope that surprised one Sacramento man, it was the name on the card.

The name "A**Wipe Williams" was embossed on the plastic card.

James Williams, the man who received the card, is not a, well ... you know.

Williams’ 7-year-old nephew, Jaleel, was the one who grabbed the mail and read the name out loud.

“He said, ‘Nana Nana. Look. There’s no A**wipe that lives here!’ And then he had to grab his mouth and apologized for using a bad word,” said Williams.

Was this a mistake? A joke? The work of a disgruntled employee? Or did somebody sign Williams up for a credit card under that crass name?

The card was sent by a company out of Austin, Texas called NetSpend. FOX40 tried calling NetSpend several times, but couldn’t get past an automated recording.

Williams has also tried calling the company. He’s weighing his legal options and wants an explanation for the error he calls unprofessional and offensive.

“We’re a Christian family, you know? Church every Sunday. And for that baby to see something like that coming through the mail is not cool,” said Williams.

Williams has no plans to use the card. In fact, he doesn’t even own a credit card and he says he doesn’t know anybody who works in the business who would purposely do this to him.

  • He is probably a massive asswipe and someone pranked him by doing this with the false name.

  • Fucking hell...

“We’re a Christian family, you know? Church every Sunday. And for that baby to see something like that coming through the mail is not cool,” said Williams.

Then do the Christian thing and "forgive and forget", you fucktard. Don't live up to the name on the card and seek "financial" reparation. What a religious cunt.

    • @Talos4

its not an american express with unlimited spending. its some bs company that doesnt even have anyone to answer the phones. the limit is probably $500 or some stupid low amount but the interest rate is probably 85% APR. so i would rather try the lawsuit or settle out of court before i max out a piece of shit credit card

  • It's a debit card, meaning there is no credit limit...the only limit is how much money you choose to put on it. I smell something fishy.

  • At least it wasn't "Asshole Williams".

  • Armchair lawyer says company defense could be: "Oweing to a clerical error, the christian name field was substituted with the card type. The Automated Secure Swipe Card (AS Swipe) was then processed in error and mailed out."

  • "The card was sent by a company out of Austin, Texas called NetSpend. FOX40 tried calling NetSpend several times, but couldn’t get past an automated recording."

This is the real problem. It's nearly impossible to reach some companies on the phone these days.

  • The Arsewipe doesn't even know the difference between a Credit Card and a Debit Card - thus he deserves the name - Arsewipe.!
