MASDAR City of the Future
I also read that they are using desert sand as building material.
Pretty amazing.

A fabulous retirement and vacation centre after a hard life of funding and abetting terrorists.

@Zipperneck1321 So true. And all funded by the Western world paying huge amounts of money for oil.

@Zipperneck1321 I love what you say and you are correct.
Also, it is high time that political correctness in France died (and in Australia, UK, USA, etc.).

@Zipperneck1321 Well said, that is precisely what we are doing. Have we gone mad or is it that our leaders have gone mad?

That word 'sustainable'... issues from Agenda 21. The lefty-nutters often use the world sustainable in their conversation.

Innovative to say the least. Makes sense though to go such a route in a country, where asides from oil and sun, there are not a lot of other material resource options.

That huge solar power collector can "support 15 homes".
Read that again - not 15,000, not 1,500 but 15 !
Ridiculous - and they want to support 90,000 people in that city ? That will require about 3,000 of those solar collectors.

@Cadae
I wonder if something got lost in translation but if not that did sound pretty weak. Although they do have solar panels on top of every building and a wind turbine power plant outside the city.
