This is a short compilation of weather reports regarding the Halloween gale of 1991, also known as 'the perfect storm'. And yes, I had the luck of being in DC at the time just like I had the luck of being here for the blizzard of '78.

Anyway... these reports make for an interesting comparison with reports on Hurricane Sandy that have been made over the last few days. The 'perfect storm' was formed from hurricane grace and a couple other parts to become one gigantic monster, but not a monster apparently important enough to be given a name of its own.
