Why would I believe ANYTHING I see on TV?

When the mass media is caught time and again manipulating footage, using blatant editing tricks, and, in some cases, completely fabricating scenarios for "live" TV, why should I, or any self-respecting American, believe that the real threat in this world is Iran? "Wipe Israel off the map..."- mistranslation or at the very least, taken out of context Hell, maybe both.

  • I work at a college that trains news reporters - believe me, they are not wise, not well informed, not investigative, not insightful, not aware of the manipulation being organized by media owners. Do NOT trust media personalities or media organizations. They are ALL owned by corporations that make more money if you believe this -- instead of that. Simple - go to a lot of different sources before making up your OWN mind. If you don't want this extra work - don't have an opinion!

  • Its always good to show examples of how the media manipulates millions.
    Just remember they do this on a daily basis 24/7 365 days a year and they have many sources to fed you disinformation if you decide to seek for news elsewhere.

  • It is called infotainment for a reason. It isn't information people should use to form opinion yet for most it is their only source of info. What does that say about the idea of letting everyone vote on issues they know nothing about except that which they have "learned" from the MSM?

  • Its hard to believe any news source, most are out to be the first to break the story and have some intense video footage. The facts come second and are either utterly bias or hold some truth to them.

    The worst part of TV nowadays are these so called "reality" shows. This is part of the reason our youth and some adults are so out of touch with the real world. True reality just wouldnt be exiting enough to make a series out of so lets follow this script instead.
