Obviously too shallow. I've jumped from that height before, and you go WAY under the water. These guys did not. There are piles of sharp rocks (called rip-rap) placed against bridge pillars to prevent erosion. You can kinda make it out in the water.

...quite bizarre...didn't look like that high of a jump, though water can be pretty damn hard when you land the wrong way...would be interested to hear the translation of the narration to maybe shed a little light...first guy was even swimming at the start, then looked like he simply passed out...

I don't understand Russian, but it seems to me it could be one of three things: a torn aorta from the fall (pretty quick way to die, massive internal bleeding but you might still be conscious for a handful of seconds), a vasovagal syncope because of the cold water shock, which leads to loss of consciousness and consequent drowning, or cardiac arrest due to vagal inhibition.

The jump was 25 meters. They just did it for no reason. From the video people tried to tell them not to jump, the narrator said they died from shock. Complete fucking morons.
