Skrillas the marriage is to preserve chastity. Doesn't happen so much these days though.
Also, that's asians who do honour killings..they might profess to be muslim or have a muslim name but honour killings aren't islamic. Of course, there's a few cases of arabs doing it too but then again it isn't islamic. Lashes are the punishment for unmarried sex, not 'honor' killings.
