No, I would say my people starting getting some what of a chance after 1968. the slaves may have been freed 150yrs ago but black people still weren't given a chance until after MLK was killed. (which was set up by the CIA) But still growing up in poverty, surrounded by drugs and violence, kids of the time had nobody to look up to so they just did what they knew and followed the people who had all the money in the neighborhood which was the drug dealers and gang bangers, and More..
